About Us
We’re the team working behind Buy Me a Coffee and Voicenotes - simple, meaningful tools that help people create, share, and get supported for their work.
We’re a small crew proud of what we build, and never satisfied until it’s our best. We’re here to help people - every creator, thinker, and doer - make life a little better.
About the Role
We're looking for a Windows Developer for Voicenotes to help build and improve high-quality Windows desktop applications. You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to create fast, reliable, and intuitive experiences for our users.
This isn't just a feature-building role. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building polished desktop applications and owning your work from first commit through production release and beyond, including how it's packaged, shipped, and updated in the wild, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop applications using C# and .NET.
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces with WPF, WinUI, or WinForms.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver new features.
- Integrate applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Own the release pipeline for the desktop app, including packaging (MSIX/MSI), code signing, and submission to the Microsoft Store or direct distribution.
- Manage the update lifecycle - versioning, staged/phased rollouts, delta updates, and rollback strategy - using tools like Velopack, Squirrel.Windows, or MSIX AppInstaller.
- Monitor production health post-release using crash/telemetry tooling (e.g., Windows Error Reporting, App Center, or Application Insights) and drive fixes through hotfix channels.
- Stay up to date with modern Windows development technologies and frameworks.
